Carte Blanche

This is an okay book written by Jeffery Deaver. After serving in the Afghan War, James Bond is assigned to a new agency that works independent of MI6 and the Ministry of Defense. Its mission is to protect British interests by any means necessary and its existence is top-secret. When a cryptic warning alerts Bond to a pending attack, Agent 007 is given unrestricted authority to protect the Realm.

This is the thirty-seventh original James Bond novel.
